Mission Statement:
Camp Barnabas is a unique ministry providing Christian camping experiences to people with special needs and to their siblings. The program exists to offer life-changing experiences to campers and to the people who serve them.

Service Area:
Camp Barnabas provides summer camp experiences to people with special needs, physical or intellectual challenges, and their siblings from throughout the United States.

Funding:
Camp Barnabas is a not-for-profit 501.c.3 organization that depends upon the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations who believe, along with us, that children with life-threatening illnesses and intellectual and physical challenges deserve to experience the affirming fun, restoration and inspiration a summer camp experience brings.

12-month Goals:
Over the past 20 years, Camp Barnabas has grown to serve approximately 1,500 campers each summer at Teas Trail in Purdy, and many of our week-long terms have waiting lists. Camp Barnabas is now expanding by opening a second camp in Shell Knob. In the next 12 months, we are focused on raising funds to make Camp Barnabas on Table Rock Lake just as wonderful as our first location. And we will continue to focus on fun at camp with activities including fellowship, swimming, field games, arts and crafts, canoeing, rifles, archery, fishing, challenge courses and other outdoor adventures.

Annual Events:
The Camp Barnabas Big Party Half Marathon is scheduled for April 11, 2015 in Springfield. Please join us by running, sponsoring, volunteering or starting your own fundraising page. More information can be found at www.bigpartymarathon.com

How People & Businesses Can Help:
Camp Barnabas asks for your time, talents and treasures. Contact Krista Adams at 417-708-0610 or at krista@campbarnabas.org.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Over 2,500 people participate in intense, servant-oriented ministry at Camp Barnabas each year. Camp Barnabas needs volunteers both during summer and in the camp off season. Volunteer opportunities can be found at http://www.campbarnabas.org/volunteer-positions/

Testimonials:
“My name is Rhonda Francka and this summer will be my 8th year attending Camp Barnabas as a camper. I have Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair to get around. When I go to Camp Barnabas I feel like my disability is left at the gate. At camp I go zip lining! I never thought it would be possible for me to go zipping. We have a saying that ‘at Camp Barnabas nothing is impossible’. It is an amazing feeling to be able to feel ‘normal’.”
