The evidence is in, people recovering from illness or surgery heal faster if they are able to recuperate at home, and older people and disabled persons usually live longer and have more productive lives if they are able to remain at home. The majority of these individuals do not need 24-hour skilled nursing care, and while some try to rely on family and friends, others have turned to the professionals at Phoenix Home Care.

Phoenix Home Care (PHC) opened their doors one year ago with the desire to provide a safe and compassionate place for their employees to thrive, and for those employees to provide quality care and expertise to the company’s clients. PHC operates under the mission statement, “To offer new beginnings and meaningful opportunities to caregivers and clinicians while providing home care services to our clients built on innovation, skill and Christ-like values of compassion, honesty and patience.”

PHC has had exceptional growth in their first year. In addition to their headquarters in Springfield, they have established offices in Independence, Columbia, Poplar Bluff, St. Louis, and Wichita, KS.

“Phoenix has experienced amazing first-year growth,” Director of Marketing Darla Marler says. “It wasn’t so much of a “if you build it they will come” mentality, but more of a demand for quality care in markets throughout Missouri.”

A large portion of the services PHC offers revolves around physician ordered home health care, which includes skilled nursing and/or therapy as part of recovery or rehabilitation. PHC also offers privately paid services, private duty nursing for special needs children, in-home services, and consumer directed services.

Whatever the service, PHC takes each client’s needs into careful consideration. Clients will receive the best clinician/caregiver for their needs, services as quickly as needed, have access to 24 hour on-call service, and have direct access to the PHC leadership team.

“We provide meet and greet opportunities for the families to meet the caregivers, and know that the bond between the family and Phoenix is as important as the quality and skill,” Marler says. “We take many measures to insure that the caregivers and clinicians that we hire fit our culture, have the orientation to serve, and are passionate about our mission.”

All PHC employees live the mission and, according to Marler, show great dedication to the company’s continued growth. While each employee may have experienced different paths, their collective experiences drive them to be the best. “This team is energized by our culture. We are all driven by a great internal need to provide the best place to work and to provide the best possible care for our clients. Not one of us will settle for less.”[[In-content Ad]]
