Home Remodeling Expo sells out of booth space

Posted online
The Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield has sold all of the vendor booth space available for the 2010 Home Remodeling Expo to be held this weekend.

In total, 112 booths have been sold for the event, said Matt Morrow, HBA of Greater Springfield CEO. The list of exhibitors can be found on the HBA Web site.

The number of vendors for this year's show is nearly the same as last year, Morrow said, noting that some vendors are using double- or triple-size spaces. The 2009 event also sold all of its vendor booth space.

Morrow declined to release booth sale proceeds, but prices started at about $415 for an 8-foot-by-10-foot booth, according to Springfield Business Journal coverage.

Funding gained through the Home Remodeling Expo goes toward the association's operating budget, which allows the organization to advocate and provide education for the building and remodeling industries.

"It’s no coincidence the Expo’s booth space is sold out," Morrow said in an Oct. 10 news release. "For the first time in several years, home improvement spending is on the upswing."

The event will be held Oct. 15-17 in the E-plex at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, 3001 N. Grant Ave. Admission is $4.
