Yates, Mauck, Bohrer, Elliff & Fels PC

Law firm Yates, Mauck, Bohrer, Elliff & Fels PC has moved and changed its name. David Croessmann, a partner in the firm for about 15 years, left in the spring, and partners Carl Yates, Bill Mauck, Joe Bohrer and Carson Elliff promoted Mark Fels to partner. The firm changed its name in August from Yates, Mauck, Bohrer, Elliff & Croessmann PC. On Sept. 1, the firm moved to 2121 S. Eastgate Ave. after leasing space for 17 years at 3333 E. Battlefield Road. Elliff said the partners decided to move because they wanted to own their office. Hours: 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 883-7411.

Springfield’s 2nd Stage Performance Theatre

Jared Lee opened Springfield’s 2nd Stage Performance Theatre on Oct. 11 with a show entitled, “Too Much Light Makes A Baby Go Blind” – a collection of 30 plays in 60 minutes. Lee said his 65-seat theater at 440 S. Campbell Ave. will feature edgy dramas, comedies and musicals. He plans to have new shows monthly, and tickets will range from $5 to $10, he said. Actors audition for shows on a volunteer basis. Lee said he leases space from building owner Todd Turoci. The box office opens 30 minutes before performances. There are usually four shows a week with an evening start time. For more information, visit the theater’s Web site at www.the2ndstage.com. Phone: (417) 880-9003.

Tatman’s Fine Jewelry Boutique

Mike and Betty Nell Tatman opened Tatman’s Fine Jewelry Boutique on June 1 at 2800 W. Highway 76, Ste. 210, in Branson’s Grand Village shopping center. Tatman’s is a 950-square-foot, full-service jewelry store that offers repair and custom-design work in addition to its retail component. Betty Nell Tatman said her parents established the store in 1945 in Siloam Springs, Ark., under the name of Hastings. Her parents moved the store in 1961 to Springdale, Ark., and the Tatmans took over in 1969. They closed the Springdale location when they moved to Branson, where they already owned a vacation home. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 336-9888.
