Project description: After a year in the market, Jordan Valley Community Health Center is expanding its Hollister clinic about a mile from its existing 590 Birch St. office. The clinic entered Hollister in January 2014, leasing a 2,000-square-foot space from CoxHealth, according to Springfield Business Journal archives. It’s now renovating a former Jiffy Lube at 33 Gage Drive. Branco Project Manager David Mann said the building is being remodeled and expanded by 5,400 square feet. The facility, designed to provide primary, oral and behavioral health services to area residents living at or below 200 percent of the poverty level, is expected to draw patients from surrounding counties and Arkansas. Mann said another 2,150 square feet could be added by August. Mann estimated construction costs at $1.18 million, but Jordan Valley officials have said total costs, including building acquisition, are $2.7 million.
