Battlefield Mall lands three new tenants

Three new tenants are slated to open stores in Simon Property Group's (NYSE: SPG) Battlefield Mall by the end of the year.

U.S. Cellular and clothing retailers Tilly's and J. Jill plan to open their doors at the 2825 S. Glenstone Ave. mall, according to a news release.

Slated to open first is U.S. Cellular, a regional carrier of phones, cell plans and tablets. Its store, located across from Ruby Tuesday, is scheduled to open in late October.

U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) agent Pure Wireless LLC opened in April at 3853 S. Campbell Ave., after the Chicago-based wireless carrier entered the Springfield market in late 2012 with a store at 3825 S. Glenstone Ave., according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

Irvine, Calif.-based Tilly's is scheduled to open its first Springfield store Nov. 1 at the mall next to Buckle, near JCPenney (NYSE: JCP). The retail chain sells action sports-branded clothing, shoes and accessories, according to the release.

Set to open in December in the exterior-facing section of the mall next to Chico's and The Loft, J. Jill sells women's apparel, accessories and footwear. Also new to Springfield, the Quincy, Mass.-based retailer operates a location at Branson Landing, according to its website.[[In-content Ad]]
