Virtual company rolls out new marketing platform

Two years in the making, the organizers of Reachmodo LLC are launching their multichannel marketing service in front of entrepreneurs and chamber members tomorrow morning at The eFactory.

Reachmodo founder and CEO Matthew Ennis, and business partner Tyler Headley, are scheduled to present during the 9 a.m. 1 Million Cups program at 405 N. Jefferson Ave. After the hour-long entrepreneurial discussion – also featuring P2Binvestor, a social funding platform for receivables-backed lines of credit – Reachmodo plans to hold a meet-and-greet reception capped by an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Ennis, who has a career background in nonprofit relations and consulting, said Reachmodo provides five marketing channels within an integrated content management system. He began developing the concept over two years ago and first organized as Think Tank Mobile Marketing on the side of his full-time jobs. Ennis left Springfield nonprofit Rainbow Network in April to launch the rebranded firm. He said a handful of clients, including Branson-based Northwoods Candy and Donny Bryant Massage Therapy in Springfield, have been testing the service since January.

“They’ve been full-paying customers on the system during beta-testing phase and giving us feedback,” Ennis said. “They’ve been along with us for the ride.”

The platform is designed around a single login to manage text messages, email, social media, instant messaging and voice broadcasts. He said customers pay a monthly flat fee, between $50 to $220, based on features and volume.

In May, Ennis and Headley, the company’s chief operating officer, moved into a small office at Missouri State University’s eFactory business incubator. 1 Million Cups has been meeting at the downtown eFactory since February, and the Reachmodo partners have set a goal of securing 175 people in attendance. The inaugural 1MC event attracted about 150 businesspeople.

“We want to be able to say we had the best attendance at 1MC to date,” Ennis said. “It’s about getting the community to come and recognize the entrepreneurial community that comes every Wednesday and how they can be a part of that on a regular basis.”

Designed to connect and educate entrepreneurs over conversation and coffee, 1MC organizers invite two entrepreneurs each week to present for 6 minutes and answer audience questions for 20 minutes apiece. Presenters typically represent early stage, scaleable companies, meaning 1-3 years old and positioned to strategically grow annual revenue from the $50,000 range up to $10 million.

Targeting small to midsize businesses, Ennis said Reachmodo has identified 51 markets across 14 states in its five-year growth plan. He said the company would hire local sales teams in each market, such as the metropolitan areas of Oklahoma and Arkansas before expanding south to Dallas and Austin, Texas, and into Florida and Georgia.

Declining to disclose startup costs, he said Reachmodo is not actively seeking capital.

“We’re in a happy place right now, financially,” he said, adding the partners would be open to discussing sweat equity positions.[[In-content Ad]]
