Connell Insurance to open Joplin office

Posted online
Hollister-based Connell Insurance Inc. plans to open an office in Joplin this summer, the third for the company. The opening would come about a year after the launch of its Springfield location.

The company expects to open the Joplin office in July on 32nd Street near Interstate 44 and Range Line Road, according to a news release.

“We feel blessed to be able to expand into another area that mirrors the growth and culture that our company tries to emulate,” Connell Insurance President Tim Connell said in the release.

The opening of the Joplin office is prompted by growth in Connell’s commercial and benefits business, especially manufacturing, tax districts and social sectors. The company also plans to bring its focus on hospitality into the market, the release said.

In August, Connell Insurance opened its Springfield office at 909 E. Republic Road in the former Assist 2 Sell building. The building was purchase from Great Southern Bank for $700,000, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

In February, the company closed on the purchase of Ava commercial property and casualty firm Select Risk Insurance Inc. for an undisclosed amount.[[In-content Ad]]
