Chamber hires Seifreid successor

Posted online
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce hired a manager of business development to succeed Jeff Seifried.

Effective March 23, Justin Coyan will become part of the chamber’s economic development department, which focuses on creating jobs and encouraging business opportunities in a 10-county region surrounding Springfield. Coyan most recently served as a business analyst for CoxHealth, according to a news release.

Seifried, manager of regional development, is serving his last day at the Springfield chamber today. He starts March 2 as president and CEO of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

“Justin will basically be doing exactly what Jeff was doing. The title has changed though to more accurately reflect the position - so previously the job description and title said that Jeff was responsible for everything associated with our regional partners but in reality the entire department contributed in a variety of ways,” chamber spokeswoman Maggie Kost said via email.

In his role, Coyan will be responsible for marketing the 10-county region to business prospects, managing projects designed to attract business and maintaining the Springfield Regional Economic Partnership, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
