Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Foods Inc. (NYSE: TSN) is scheduled tomorrow to ship its latest donation of chicken to Ozarks Food Harvest.

With the 40,000-pound delivery, Tyson’s donations to Ozarks Food Harvest total 240,000 pounds since 2008. The latest donation will comprise 1,000 cases of chicken patty fritters and 1,000 cases of chicken breast filet fritters, according to a news release.

The donation matches Tyson’s 2015 delivery to the 2810 N. Cedarbrook Ave. food bank.

The gift is part of the annual McDonald’s Cans for Coffee food drive, which gives customers a small McCafe beverage in exchange for a nonperishable food item. Running through Sept. 25, since 2008 the campaign has raised more than 201,600 pounds of food - 168,000 meals - for Ozarks Food Harvest, according to the release.

Once delivered to the food bank, Ozarks Food Harvest then distributes the food to more than 200 organizations in 28 Ozarks counties. Over 14.6 million meals are given annually to some 260,000 individuals.
