2016 40 Under 40 Honoree: Kory Stubblefield, 35

Posted online
Even in the face of intense adversity, Kory Stubblefield is a staunch supporter of his clients. That was evident in 2008, when he successfully argued on behalf of Gulfstream Bioflex Energy LLC – which sought to build an ethanol plant near Rogersville – at Missouri State University’s Plaster Student Union. The majority of some 750 people in attendance were adverse to his position. That experience gives him a leg up at his firm, where he oversees the day-to-day duties for a major collections client, including supervision of 10 employees and 500 active lawsuits.

Besides your family, what’s your most treasured possession? A 1953 model steam engine presented by the Frisco Railroad to my great-grandfather as a retirement gift.

Being able to fly without having to go through multiple rounds of security.
