Posted online
Monuments of Angela Blevins’ success and professional accomplishments are evident throughout Springfield and surrounding areas. As co-owner and project manager of Bailey Co., Angela takes great pride in working directly with customers and sub-contractors to bring original designs in commercial and residential construction to fruition on time and within budget. Some of Blevins’ most gratifying civic contributions are equally apparent. She is proud to co-chair the BetterU committee within the Go Red for Women group which has led to improved heart health for many area women. Blevins is a member of the Leadership Springfield class of 31 and president-elect of Junior League of Springfield.

What was your first job?  I worked at Mutton Hollow in Branson; it was a craft-themed park that was very popular back in the day. My mom would drop me off with the owner for three days and come back to pick me up.

Besides your family, what’s your most treasured possession? I have a large hope chest full of, well let’s call it memorabilia, from dating my husband.  We’ve dated since I was 12 and I have kept everything.

What was your professional “aha” moment? I was in another career and was listening to a co-worker describe something she saw at Walmart. It made me realize I wasn’t cut out for that work. It hit me like a ton a bricks.  A few days later, my parents asked me to join the family business. It was meant to be.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal.
