Six years ago, Christine Daues was a household name in the Ozarks. As an on-air anchor and reporter for KSPR, her face was a familiar fixture in many homes.

Now, a little bit more under the radar personally, she’s working professionally to make her new employer more well known.

“Paul Mueller didn’t have a formalized marketing department for the last 20 years. We’re kind of starting out at ground zero in a way,” says Daues, who’s part of a recently formed marketing team for the stainless steel manufacturer.

The job was a rare opportunity, especially given Daues wasn’t looking for a full-time role. It’s helpful in paying hospital bills for daughter Jude, who has a rare bone disorder. With husband Joe, who also used to be an on-air anchor for KSPR, the couple have a son named Joey, who’s now a third-grader.

The husband and wife team continue to run Granolove, a venture that started after Daues turned her love of making granola for her children into a business. She admits it’s taken a bit of a backseat to her new job, and Associated Wholesale Grocers now handles distribution for the company.

“Granolove is a great distraction,” Daues says, noting it’s on her plate to pick up more marketing work for the company moving forward.
