Katie Davis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks’ CEO since 2010, is resigning from the organization.
Davis, who has two children with husband Brent, plans to step down in mid-August to spend more time with family, according to a news release. She had her second child
last May.
"Katie has done a phenomenal job serving the mission of BBBS during her tenure as CEO. She has positioned us well for the future by building a great team and strong financial footing for the agency," said Marshall Kinne, board president of the local chapter, in the release. "Her presence as CEO will be missed, but I am confident we will find a new leader that continues to build on her numerous achievements."
The board currently is developing a succession plan.
When Davis took over as leader of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks at age 27, she was
one of the youngest CEOs in the Big Brothers Big Sisters system nationwide.
During her tenure, the organization began practicing the Great Game of Business open-book management system, added new programs, secured financial stability and increased the amount of matches. Last year, the agency raised over $1 million, a 22 percent increase from 2014, and matched 257 bigs and littles, a 17 percent bump from a year earlier, according to the release.
