UPS fined $247M over illegal cigarette shipments

The United Parcel Service was ordered by a federal judge to pay nearly $247 million in damages and penalties.

The company has been accused of  "illegally shipping" large volumes of untaxed cigarettes in New York City and the state.

UPS officials said they would appeal the decision.
