Pepsi has a Venezuela problem: $1.4B

Pepsi this week reported a $1.4 billion charge for its business in Venezuela.

The one-time charge - or write down - helps the company offer investors more certainty about its future earnings.

The charge represents concerns from U.S. companies that Venezuela’s inflation is increasing drastically, with confusing currency laws and a reducing economy.

Venezuela sales make up 2 percent of Pepsi's revenue.
