Muslim groups fundraise for vandalized STL Jewish cemetery

After dozens of headstones were damaged at Chesed Shel Emel Cemetery in the St. Louis suburb of University City over the weekend, Muslim groups were quick to help.

A crowdfunding campaign started by social justice activists Linda Sarsour, of New York, and Tarek El-Messidi, of Cincinnati, brought in over $20,000 within a few hours. The campaign raised over $40,000 as of late Tuesday and had nearly $60,000 this morning.

As many as 200 headstones at the Jewish cemetery were toppled during the weekend.
