KC assembly plant to close, cut 200 jobs

Woodbridge Sequencing Center plans to close the doors of its Kansas City plant, affecting hundreds of jobs.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, a Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification Act filed with the state of Missouri indicated plans to close the sequencing and assembly plant and lay off 200 employees by Oct. 31.

Parent company The Woodbridge Group operates 60 facilities in 17 countries, serving the automotive, commercial, military and health care industries with such products as seat cushioning, interior soft trim and cargo management products.
