Iran yesterday placed sanctions on 15 U.S. companies in retaliation for restrictions the Trump administration imposed on companies and people allegedly connected with its ballistic-missile program.
The companies include Massachusetts-based defense giant Raytheon Co., Minnesota-based firearms manufacturer Magnum Research Inc. and Illinois firearms manufacturer Lewis Machine and Tool Co. Denver-based real-estate giant Re/Max Holdings Inc. also was sanctioned.
The sanctions mean company dealings are prohibited with Iran, and their assets in the Islamic Republic have been frozen. Company officials also will not be given visas to Iran.
