Australian entrepreneur claims he created bitcoin

Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright has publicly identified himself as bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.

According to the BBC, Wright provided technical proof backing up his claim. Prominent bitcoin community members and its core core development team also confirmed Wright's claim.

Prior to the reveal, the creator of the digital currency was only known by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
