Bank of Sullivan last week moved into its new Springfield branch, replacing a far south-side location it opened in July 2015.

The company relocated its Queen City branch less than two miles to 2655 S. Campbell Ave. from 3961 S. Campbell Ave. Bank of Sullivan’s new branch previously housed First Home Bank, which last year bought a 10,000-square-foot former Citizens National Bank, 1465 E. Sunshine St., for its new branch.

“We outgrew that space,” said Jeff Brown, executive regional manager covering the western part of Missouri for Bank of Sullivan. “We’ve seen good growth in loans and commercial loans, specifically, and in deposit accounts.”

Bank of Sullivan leases the 3,000-square-foot branch from E&M Edgewood LLC for undisclosed terms. The new branch is three times larger than the location further south on Campbell the company also leased from E&M Edgewood, Brown said.

The Sullivan-based banking company invested $40,000 in the move, which included a new ATM, signage and painting.

At the branch, Bank of Sullivan employs seven with plans to hire more and has loans and deposits each exceeding $20 million, Brown said. The official moving date was May 8.
