St. Louis County sends letter to woo GE HQ

Blue chip company General Electric is looking around for a new headquarters home and St. Louis County wants to be considered.

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership sent a letter to GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt asking him to meet with a local delegation, including Gov. Jay Nixon and county executive Steve Stenger.

The letter points to the county's robust slate of company headquarters, including Edward Jones and Express Scripts.
