Hurts Donut Co.
Eighteen months after opening, Hurts Donut Co. owners Tim and Kas Clegg moved the downtown donut shop June 26 to 320 Park Central West. Tim Clegg said the company signed a three-year lease on the 3,000-square-foot space with Murray Lofts LLC for undisclosed terms. With roughly $35,000 spent on signage and improvements to the space, most recently occupied by Mr. Bigg’s Pizza, Hurts’ customer seating increased to 150 from 34. The husband-and-wife team plans to turn the original location, down the street at 301 Park Central West, into a specialty hot dog eatery. Store branding and an opening date for the new venture have not yet been determined. Tim Clegg said they plan to add 15 part-time employees to Hurts’ staff of 27. Hours: 24/7. Phone: (417) 300-6106.

Paragon 360 is a national audio, video, lighting and staging design-build firm, and Sounds Great, acquired in 2013 from Mark Morton, handles local retail sales. Neimeyer said past local projects include work at Hammons Field and Silver Dollar City. The Brawners employ 25 between the two companies. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
