Billionaire Chris Hansen is offering to privately fund a new arena in Seattle, Washington, giving the city fresh hope it will regain an NBA team.
Previously, Hansen had asked the city to contribute $200 million, but officials voted the request down. Hansen also tried to relocate the Sacramento Kings to Seattle in 2013.
Seattle has been without an NBA team since 2008, when the Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Oklahoma City Thunder.
