Missouri lawmakers reintroduce right-to-work proposals

Missouri Rep. Bill White, R-Joplin, Rep. Holly Rehder, R-Sikeston, and Sen. Dan Brown, R-Rolla, yesterday prefiled right-to-work bills to be considered in the 2017 session.

Right-to-work bills have previously failed, but under Gov.-elect Eric Greitens, it's expected they have a much better chance. Greitens has said he would sign a right-to-work measure into law.

The legislation would prohibit an employer from requiring a person to join a union or pay union fees to get or keep a job.
