McCormick pens deal to buy French’s for $4.2B

McCormick & Co. agreed to buy the food business of Reckitt Benckiser in a deal worth $4.2 billion.

Through the purchase, McCormick would take over French’s mustard and Frank’s Red Hot sauce, among other brands.

The transaction is expected to close by the fourth quarter of McCormick’s fiscal year, which ends in November.
