General Electric today reported a 35.7 percent increase in quarterly earnings.
The Boston-based maker of power plants, aircraft engines, locomotives and medical equipment reported earnings from continuing operations attributable to GE shareholders of $3.5 billion. That's up from $2.6 billion a year earlier.
However, revenue fell 2.4 percent to $33.1 billion.
