Disney has big plans for 'Star Wars' 'Force Friday'

Three and a half months before the release of "The Force Awakens," Disney is turning the launch of its new "Star Wars" merchandise into a retail holiday.

Disney is calling today "Force Friday" in efforts to build hype around the launch.

According to CNBC, analysts said the promotion could lead to roughly $500 million in incremental revenues and $200 million of incremental operating profit in Disney's fiscal 2016.
