Boeing shares fell Thursday after a report that regulators are investigating accounting practices for two of its jetliners.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating the company's projections regarding the long-term profitability of its 787 Dreamliner and 747 jumbo aircraft.
According to CNBC, the SEC probe is looking into so-called program accounting, which Boeing is said to use to spread upfront costs of manufacturing over a longer period of time.
