Springfield First Community Bank CEO Rob Fulp hands out packaged meat to staff members June 27. Fulp and his wife, Cindy, purchased a steer and donated 1,000 pounds of ribeye, sirloin, roasts and hamburger during a Saturday gathering in the bank parking lot. The Fulps said they wanted to express their gratitude to the SFC team for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as assist staff amid potential meat shortages.

Artist Linda Passeri puts the finishing touches on her mural at the Footbridge Trading Co. building, 320 E. Commercial St. Organizers scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 10 at the site. The store owners commissioned Passeri for the Footbridge Alley Mural, which depicts native purple cone flowers reaching a height of 20 feet with a sunset background. C-Street officials say Footbridge Alley is scheduled to receive a facelift in the fall.
