Gov. Mike Parson announces a certified production technician credential during an April 16 job fair at Ozarks Technical Community College. The state has set aside up to $1.5 million to fund compensation for as many as 500 people to get credentialed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council. Officials say students who earn the credential at Missouri’s two-year colleges could earn starting salaries of $30,000.
