The Vecino Group LLC, a Springfield-based development group that works nationwide, has a new president.
Kody Redwing, a company employee since 2017, most recently was president of Vecino Capital, a role he'll maintain, according to a news release. He previously was the company’s chief financial officer and lead underwriter.
“This is earned and deserved. As both the chief financial officer and as president of Vecino Capital, he’s not only risen to each challenge, but excelled," Vecino Group CEO Matthew Miller said in the release. “Kody brings both a keen business knowledge and a finance-driven focus to his role of president."
Redwing succeeds eight-year company President Rick Manzardo, who is transitioning to board chair.
Redwing's LinkedIn profile indicates the promotion became effective this month. He also has past experience at Springfield First Community Bank and Metropolitan National Bank.
Among its local projects, The Vecino Group is working with Missouri State University on the expansion of the school's IDEA Commons area downtown, according to past reporting.
The release indicates The Vecino Group has created over 3,700 housing units in around 30 U.S. cities.
