Posted online

Springfield-based engineering firm Toth and Associates Inc. promoted from within for its new president.

Adam Toth succeeds his father, Lou Toth, who becomes board chairman and will continue to work as an engineer at the firm, according to a news release.

Adam Toth this morning said he officially started today in his new role at the company.

“I’m honored,” he said. “I feel like I have a big responsibility to our employees.”

Toth and Associates ranked No. 1 on Springfield Business Journal’s 2018 list of the area’s largest engineering firms. Toth and Associates reported 23 engineers and 87 total staff members, and officials declined to provide revenue figures for the list published July 23, 2018.

The firm now employs 96 people, Toth said, declining to disclose 2018 revenue.

Toth has worked as an engineer with Toth and Associates since it was founded in 2003, and he’s served as vice president overseeing operations, including construction work and long-range plans, cost studies and contract negotiation, according to a news release.

Toth also is a board member, along with his father and company vice presidents Lewis Wiles, Brian Orr, Joe Tierney and Jeff Mueller. Toth said he and the other board members are shareholders of the company.

Toth and Associates’ recent projects include Youngblood Auto Group’s dealership expansion in Ozark, Willard Intermediate School-South, the First Watch restaurant on East Sunshine Street and the Cassidy United Methodist Church addition in Nixa.

The company, which performs electric utility, structural and civil engineering, also operates offices in Portland and Hermiston, Oregon, according to the release. The company first launched in Oregon in spring 2018, according to SBJ archives.
