Summer 2021 Architects & Engineers Project Report: Mettemeyer Engineering LLC

Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is the structural engineer of a $23 million Wentzville Public Works facility on 11.3 acres along Interstate Drive. The 47,000-square-foot building will be shared by various Public Works divisions, as well as features in the rear yard, like granular bin and salt storage, wash bays and covered parking for vehicles, plows and spreaders. Officials say the design makes use of concrete block, which is featured on current city buildings, a glass entry, and aluminum wood-look battens and panels to break up the facade. H Design Group LLC is project architect, with HDR Engineering Inc. as a maintenance consultant. Additional engineering work is by Premier Design Group, civil; and Henderson Construction & Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. A general contractor has not yet been selected. The project is slated for completion in February 2022.
