Project description: Along Highway FF in southwest Springfield, Miller Engineering PC is building a new headquarters in front of its current office in a multitenant building. The two-story structure is designed with private and open offices, conference rooms, a workroom, break room, fitness area, testing lab and outdoor spaces, officials say. Due to delays related to COVID-19 and manufacturer and shipping issues, Miller Engineering spokesperson Katarina Newell says the completion date was pushed to late October or November from September. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is the project architect. Engineering work is provided by Miller Engineering, structural; Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; and Jennifer Winslow PE LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Missouri State University’s science building, built in 1971 and formerly called Temple Hall, is being reconstructed and updated.
