Project description: Fort Smith, Arkansas-based K-MAC Holdings Corp. is bringing a new Taco Bell franchise store to town. Located on the west side in front of Springfield Plaza, the restaurant is Taco Bell’s 11th in the Queen City. TMG Construction Management also was general contractor for the 10th store, which opened in July at 2047 E. Independence St. The newest eatery on Sunshine Street was designed by Drawing Department LLC (Cincinnati), with engineering work from Advantage Group Engineering Inc. (Cincinnati), structural; Weihe Engineers Inc. (Indianapolis), civil; and Marque Engineering (Cincinnati), mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
