STL homebuilder, others reach $16.5M settlement in ownership dispute

St. Louis-area homebuilder McBride Homes and others reached a $16.5 million settlement in an ownership dispute case.

A class-action lawsuit alleged McBride executives acquired stakes in the company without notifying or compensating employee-owners.

Defendants included McBride & Son Capital Inc., the employee stock ownership plan's current sponsor, and McBride CEO John Eilermann Jr.
