A Springfield company has entered a definitive merger agreement with a firm based in San Bernardino, California.
Springfield-based Medical Consulting Group LLC is merging with Corcoran Consulting Group LLC, according to a news release.
Medical Consulting Group provides consulting services to ophthalmic practices and companies, while Corcoran Consulting Group specializes in billing, coding and reimbursement issues for ophthalmology and optometry practices.
“These combined services will allow Medical Consulting Group to provide clients with more services than ever before,” said Bill Rabourn, MCG managing principal, in the release.
CCG President Kevin Corcoran added, "Ophthalmologists and optometrists will be better served by the combination of our two firms."
Both companies will continue to operate under their current names.
Founded in 1989, MCG has consulted with clinical practices in around 40 states and developed more than 105 ambulatory surgery centers, according to the release. The 1986-founded CCG works in all 50 states.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
