Springfield companies Abacus CPAs LLC, BKD LLP and KPM CPAs & Advisors ranked among the top U.S. firms by Accounting Today.

Accounting Today's annual rankings released this month comprise the top 100 firms by revenue and regional leaders nationwide.

On the top 100 list, BKD ranked No. 16, with revenue of $758 million. The firm placed No. 14 on the 2021 list. BKD’s 2022 rank is one spot ahead of the Charlotte, North Carolina, firm its preparing to merge with. Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, dba DHG, is No. 17 on the list, with revenue of $504 million; BKD and DHG are slated to finalize the merger in the second quarter, according to their announcement last month.

On the Midwest regionals list from Accounting Today, BKD placed No. 1. KPM is No. 23 with roughly $16.2 million in revenue, and Abacus is No. 27 with $11.4 million in revenue.
