A Springfield architecture firm started the year with a partner addition.
Esterly Schneider & Associates Inc. appointed Nancy Edson as its fifth partner, said Melissa Higbie, partner and project architect at the firm. Edson’s promotion to partner took effect Jan. 1.
Edson will continue to serve as the firm's business manager. A certified public manager, she's worked at Esterly Schneider & Associates since 2019, according to her profile on the firm's website. She's a University of Missouri graduate with a bachelor's in business management.
Higbie and Edson are partners in the firm with Craig Schneider, Thomas Lundberg and Timothy Guillot. The firm's website lists an architectural support team of more than a dozen employees.
Higbie said 2022 additionally marks the firm's 75th year in business.
"We hope to have a big splash in June," she said via email. "There is a lot of landscape our firm has touched in the Ozarks over the past 75 years."
Recent Esterly Schneider & Associates projects include the Ozark Innovation Center, Wire Road Brewing Co. LLC and Plaza Towers, of which the firm is a tenant.
Connected to Watkins Elementary School is a new storm shelter now under construction.
