Olsson Inc. is the civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for Joplin Fire Station No. 7. The project is a three-bay station with drive-thru bays housing the portion of the city’s fleet thatw serves the southeast corner of Joplin. Project officials say the new facility will be designed with living quarters to accommodate a six-person crew and include other amenities like a kitchen, day room, offices, decontamination suite and fitness center. Paragon Architecture LLC and GLMV Architecture Inc. (Wichita, Kansas) are the project architects and Toth and Associates Inc. is the structural engineer. A general contractor has not yet been selected. The project is slated for completion by July 2023.
