Iron Grain District
State Route MM and Sawyer Road, Republic
H Design Group LLC is architect for the 30-acre Iron Grain District, which will bring a variety of retail, entertainment and dining options to Republic, as well as multifamily and townhome units. The residential portion of the project is designed with more than 200 one-, two- and three-bedroom units and a pool, dog park, clubhouse and walking trails, project officials say. The plans also call for a hotel on the site. Adjacent to the apartments is a planned 24,000-square-foot shopping center. Magers Management Co.’s mixed-use development, adjacent to the Garton Business Park and Amazon fulfillment center, is estimated to cost $65 million, according to past reporting. BP Builders LLC is the general contractor with engineering work by Lee Engineering and Associates LLC, civil; J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and CJD Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is expected to wrap by summer 2023.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
