Project description: A partnership of Miller Commerce LLC, 3B Holdings LLC and Dave Pavlin is developing a community for seniors with 50 assisted living units, 52 independent living units and 20 memory care beds. Designed by H Design Group LLC, Turners Rock plans to have white tablecloth dining 15 hours a day, a country club-style pub, on-site personal training and a community hobby room. Officials say they’ve hired Portland, Oregon-based Blue Harbor Senior Living LLC to manage the 4-acre community on Sunshine Street, east of U.S. Highway 65. The developers also plan to build the $20 million Turners Pointe, with 100 skilled nursing beds, on vacant land to the east.
The former Kmart store on the grounds of the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is slated for demolition, according to a permit on file with the city of Springfield.
