Neosho may have lost a flea market ... but it gained a dance hall, with the addition of a new highway.
Kuntry Sisters Flea Market closed down after completion of the new Highway 71 going through Neosho nearly destroyed the business.
After sales continued to decline, Carolyn Hinkley and her partners decided to shift gears.
Where flea market booths once stood, a restaurant area, a 2,000-square-foot dance floor, a bar area and a game room now take their place.
The partners also plan on having a senior citizens' night, karaoke, live bands and country-dance lessons.
The grand opening for the dance hall was held last month.
