A south Springfield hotel is under new ownership.
The Sleep Inn fronting James River Freeway at Campbell Avenue was purchased by Avyukth LLC on Feb. 5 from Tri-Star Hotels LLC, said Lonnie Funk, owner of Rolling Oaks Hospitality Inc., which had managed the property.
“I’ve been managing that property for them for 17 years,” he said of the 233 E. El Camino Alto Drive hotel.
Rolling Oaks Hospitality is no longer managing Sleep Inn after the acquisition, Funk said.
A Greene County recorder filing points to a $3.3 million deed of trust between Avyukth LLC and Central Bank for the Sleep Inn purchase.
Avyukth LLC also owns the Baymont Inn & Suites at 3343 E. Battlefield Road, Funk said. Avyukth LLC’s Missouri secretary of state filing lists Daniel Simon, of Columbia, as the organizer.
Funk said Tri-Star Hotels is owned by John Youngblood, Howard Bailey and John Calhoun.
Rolling Oaks Hospitality now manages Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield-Medical District, 310 E. Monastery St., and a La Quinta Inn & Suites in Bentonville, Funk said. Rolling Oaks Hospitality also runs multifamily and student housing properties, he said.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
