Battlefield-based Russell Cellular Inc. hired a longtime Verizon Wireless director to lead a newly launched agent partner program.

Khris Stillman, director of indirect sales for Verizon Wireless for the last 15 years and a 24-year employee of the company, started today at Russell Cellular, according to a news release. Stillman's title at Russell Cellular is area vice president of agent partner programs.

Russell Cellular, a Verizon Wireless retailer, on Friday announced the launch of the agent partner program. Through the initiative, the company will work with independent business owners and smaller Verizon agents to operate locations under the Battlefield company's brand and support system.

“We are very fortunate to add someone of Khris’ caliber to the Russell Cellular leadership team to build out and lead our new agent partner program,” Russell Cellular President and CEO Jeff Russell said in the release. “His industry knowledge and extensive background with Verizon, combined with his leadership and history of superior sales performance, make him the ideal person to lead this area of our business.”

Stillman has nearly three decades of technology sales and strategy experience.

Russell Cellular last month announced it assumed the operations of five Verizon Wireless corporate stores. The company has more than 600 stores in 38 states, employing roughly 2,100, according to the release.

Russell Cellular ranked No. 1 in Springfield Business Journal's 2020 Dynamic Dozen awards, with 2019 revenue of $599 million and three-year growth of 88%.
