Project description: Funded by a potential no-tax-levy-increase bond, to be on the April 8 ballot, the proposed project addresses growth needs at Republic High School based upon community feedback. The plan includes a multiuse indoor activity facility featuring some 57,000 square feet of additional classroom space for band, choir, Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, plus a weight room, and a 65,000-square-foot turfed area for student use during and beyond the school day. Spaces for dance, cheer, golf and wrestling programs would also be included.
