Photo Gallery: Workforce & Economic Development Visioning Workshop

Springfield Business Journal on Aug. 3 hosts the first Visioning Workshop of the year showcasing themes of the 2022 Economic Growth Series. On issues of workforce and economic development, participants discussed such issues as what growing businesses need from city governments, affordable housing shortages and solutions, ideas for hiring and preparing for the next recession. The workshop was held at the Amazon fulfillment center in Republic, with Site Leader Andrew Lee as host. Participants in the forum, led by Ozarks Technical Community College’s Mark Miller and SBJ’s Jennifer Jackson and Christine Temple, were, in alphabetical order, David Cameron, city of Republic; Julie Carter, Missouri Job Center Connect; Jason Flores, Central Trust Co.; Richard Ollis, Ollis/Akers/Arney; and Sally Payne, city of Springfield.
