Gov. Mike Parson appointed PFI Western Store owner Randy Little to the Missouri State Fair Commission.
A Friday news release from Parson's office states that in addition to leading "one of the largest western retailers in the country," Little manages a 1,000-acre farming and ranching operation and is a key partner in bringing the Professional Bull Riders event to Springfield.
Little, of Republic, joins a nine-member board that oversees the operations of the annual Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. The board selects and supervises the fair director and it authorizes contracts, as well as land purchases and leases, according to its website. Board members serve four-year terms.
The fair this year is scheduled Aug. 13-23.
