Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co. is slated to make a "major gift" to the History Museum on the Square, officials say.
Financial terms were not disclosed for the donation, which times with the opening of a temporary Ozarks Coca-Cola exhibit at the downtown museum, according to a news release. The gift is coming from the company and the Rice family of owner-operators.
Dubbed Ozarks Coca-Cola Bottling Co.: From Our Family to Yours, the exhibit launches April 14. It will feature memorabilia and highlight the history of the company's 100 years in business and its regional impact over time.
History Museum officials worked with Atlanta, Georgia, museum World of Coca-Cola on the exhibit, according to the release.
Ozarks Coca-Cola's recent economic impact includes a multimillion-dollar, 125,000-square-foot expansion at its 1777 N. Packer Road operation, according to past reporting.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
